Choice wool

It is said that there are about 3,000 species of sheep alone in the world.

The feel is changed mainly by the difference in the degree of fineness' indicating the fineness of fibers. We have a wide range of fineness from "superfine merino", which is said to have extra high gloss and feel, to the strong wool which is like "Shetland sweater" and the feel is the characteristic of wool.

In the spinning process, wool yarns are divided into two types: 'worsted yarns' that use only long hairs by removing short hairs and 'woolen yarn' in which short hairs are mixed. we use only carefully selected the former that have a soft finish and no fuzzing.

The production areas of Merino species that we deal with are 'Australia' 'New Zealand', which accounts for the majority of wool production in the world, as well as 'Falkland', living in the cold land where penguins live and 'Uruguay' located in South America, etc…

Special materials

Functional acrylic

Acrylic is a highly multifunctional fiber. By devising the fiber in various ways, it is possible to give it a special function. By changing the fiber’s fineness and cross-section, we can express unique gloss and fine touch. For example, the “Pre-reel” developed by Toyobo XLAN, which we handle, is a 0.8D microfiber thinner than silk.

Moreover, it’s  possible to offer added value  by mixing special materials into fibers.  For example, we use "Lunes  by Mitsubishi Chemical, among others. In addition to its deodorizing function, it has a hygroscopic heat generation function that can generate heat from the material when it traps moisture.

Other examples of special functions include blankets that feature antibacterial and deodorizing properties, which are achieved by kneading chitosan sourced from crab shells. In addition, Kanekalon blankets cannot be ignited easily because they contain fibers with flame-retardant properties.

Extra-long staple length cotton & long staple length cotton

A cotton rank is determined by the average fiber length and roughly classified as follows:

Short Staple Length Cotton (less than 20.6 mm)
Medium Staple Length Cotton (20.6 mm-25.4 mm)
 Medium-Long Staple Length Cotton (26.2 mm-27.8 mm)
Long Staple Length cotton (28.6 to 33.3 mm)
Extra-Long Staple Length Cotton (34.9 mm or more)

From this cotton rank, we handle medium and long fibers and above. Super-long cotton is equivalent to the famous Supima cotton and Giza cotton. We work with high-quality luxury cotton, extra-long staple length cotton, and Indian long staple length cotton.

Long cotton is characterized by a thin fiber, which makes the touch more delicate, and the yarn’s high light reflectance, which gives it a silky luster. Since there are more natural oils in long cotton compared to other cotton types, it provides a unique feeling of sliminess .

Specific conditions are necessary in terms of climate and soil to support its growth, so long cotton can only be grown in limited regions across the world. Thus, super-long cotton is a very valuable fiber that makes up only 5% of the world’s cotton.

Hybrid fabrics

By combining multiple materials, we can produce a blanket that takes full advantage of each material’s strengths.

For example, wool × acrylic blankets combine the individual advantages of wool’s high moisture absorption / desorption properties and ultra-fine acrylic’s fine touch, resulting in a warm, moist, and useful fabric.

Combining wool with cotton produces a unique fabric where you can enjoy the feel of both cotton and wool.
